How to attract attention if the topic is not really a student topic, the book stand is a bit off to the side and you want a part of the collection to be seen?
You have to come up with something unusual and that is why I attached a row of forks at the top. Packages with dried beans, pasta, Indian curry, dried weed and chick peas filled the top shelve to represented different countries and types of food.
A huge white plate with a green apple in the middle directed the eye from the forks to the plate and subsequently to the books on the lower shelves and up again. A waiter’s apron hangs from the top and one of the strings connects the forks which are attached with blu tack to the iron bar of the stand, while little threads attach them to the string to keep them upright.
Chop sticks and plastic cutlery are randomly attached to the lower shelves.
